The Canadian Seed Growers’ Association (CSGA) is authorized by the federal Seeds Act and the Seeds Regulations as the Canadian organization responsible for prescribing varietal purity standards and certifying seed crops of all agricultural crop kinds except potatoes.

The Accredited Seed Grower (ASG) designation allows seed growers to demonstrate their expertise in Certified seed, deep understanding of production standards, commitment to best management practices, knowledge of effective quality management systems and market themselves as leaders in the seed sector. EARNING CRITERIA To obtain the CSGA-Accredited Seed Grower designation, a seed grower must: i. Complete the CSGA Learn Experienced Seed Grower Program -and- ii. Successfully complete two years of seed crop production
